Y Signs is a factory-direct custom signage manufacturer based in Huizhou, Guangdong, China, operating this website at ydesignguide.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain — most of what we handle is a quote inquiry, not a big data operation.

2. What We Collect

From your quote inquiries

When you fill in our contact form we receive: your name, email address, phone number (optional), your industry, and the project details you choose to add (sign type, size, artwork, wall conditions). This is the core of our business — we need it to prepare a quote and deliver your sign. We keep it for as long as the inquiry and any resulting order are live, and after that we retain it for a reasonable period to handle warranty claims and tax/finance obligations, then we delete it.

From the website itself

We do not currently run analytics that track individual visitors, and we do not place tracking or advertising cookies. If we add such tools in the future, we will update this policy first. The only automatic data we see is basic server access information (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) that web hosting generates for security and performance — it is not sold or shared.

From WhatsApp

If you start a chat with us through the WhatsApp button on this site, the message goes through WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.). WhatsApp operates its own privacy policy; once we hand you a direct number, anything you send is between you and us.

3. Why We Collect It

• To prepare a quote — matching your sign type, size, and finish to a price and lead time.
• To make your sign — artwork, dimensions, and mounting details travel to our production floor.
• To ship and support it — shipping address, tracking, and the 3-year LED warranty.
• To keep the site safe — server logs help us spot abuse and keep performance up.

4. How Long We Keep It

Order-related records are kept for the life of the warranty (3 years from delivery) plus whatever finance law requires, then deleted. If you only asked a question and never ordered, we delete that thread after about 12 months unless you ask us to keep you on our list.

5. How We Share It

We do not sell personal data, and we do not advertise on it. Data moves only when the job requires it:

• Shipping partners (e.g., UPS) receive the delivery address and contents description needed to deliver your sign.
• Payment processors, if we take payment through a third party for a particular order, receive the payment details for that transaction only.
• Authority, if required by law.

6. Where Data Is Stored

Your inquiry is stored in our website’s database and emailed to our team so we can quote and produce your order. Our website is hosted on servers in the United States, our team email runs through Google (Gmail), and our production records are kept at our office in Huizhou, Guangdong, China. Wherever the data sits we protect it with access controls and use it only for the purposes described above. If you are in the UK or EU, this means your information is transferred outside your region — we rely on your consent when you send us an inquiry.

7. Your Choices

8. Children

This site is a business service aimed at businesses and adults running them. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a parent finds their child sent an inquiry, email us and we will delete it.

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we update this page and the “Last updated” date moves. Material changes will also be noted in the page footer or emailed to you if we have your address on file.
