Luminara is an independent fine jewelry brand that opened its first flagship boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. The founder understood that on Rodeo Drive, your storefront is your handshake. The building facade is black marble with subtle white veining sourced from a single quarry in Italy.

Design Concept and Branding

Radical simplicity: raised 3D brass letters mounted directly on black marble facade, polished to a mirror finish. “LUMINARA” in custom-drawn geometric sans-serif with precise letter-spacing. Each letter projects from the wall surface, casting shadows for depth. At night, minimal warm LED spotlights graze the letters with museum-grade lighting.

Material Selection and Fabrication

Each letter is CNC-machined from solid brass, hand-polished to mirror finish, coated with clear nano-ceramic for tarnish resistance. Tolerance verified by laser measurement. Mounting uses custom threaded studs with epoxy anchors in marble.

Installation Process

Drilling into Italian marble required diamond-tipped bits, continuous water cooling, and a structural engineer. A CNC-drilled template ensured precise anchor placement. A marble restoration specialist was on standby. Total: four days.

Results and Impact
