Materials & Technology

What materials are available for storefront signs?

What is the difference between LED neon and traditional glass neon?

LED neon (also called flexible neon) uses LED strips encased in silicone tubing, while traditional glass neon uses gas-filled glass tubes and high voltage. LED neon is more energy-efficient (uses up to 80% less power), more durable (unbreakable silicone vs fragile glass), lighter, safer (low voltage, no heat), and available in more colors. Traditional glass neon offers a slightly different glow quality but requires expert glass blowers and is much more fragile. For most commercial applications, LED neon is the superior choice.

How long do LED storefront signs last?

High-quality LED storefront signs typically last 50,000–100,000 hours of operation — that's 10–15 years of regular daily use (8–12 hours/day). The LED modules are rated for long life, and the silicone or acrylic housing protects against weather. We use only premium LED components and provide warranties on our work.

Are your signs weatherproof for outdoor use?
