This case study showcases an e-sports room signage and interior design project for a dedicated gaming space. The design creates an immersive gaming environment using custom neon signage, RGB lighting integration, and gaming-inspired decorative elements. The space serves as both a personal gaming sanctuary and a social streaming studio, requiring signage that looks great on camera while enhancing the gaming atmosphere.
Design Concept
The design concept draws from gaming and cyberpunk aesthetics—bold geometric shapes, vibrant accent colors, and illuminated elements that create a futuristic atmosphere. The primary signage features the gamer’s handle or room name in a custom neon sign, using a bold sans-serif typeface with gaming-inspired angular details. The color scheme uses a “sweet and cool” duality: soft pink and purple (“sweet”) contrasted with electric blue and cyan (“cool”), creating visual tension that energizes the space.
The layout positions the primary neon sign as a wall-mounted centerpiece visible in streaming camera shots, with secondary RGB LED strips providing ambient bias lighting around the desk and monitor areas. Acoustic paneling in geometric patterns serves the dual purpose of sound management and visual texture.
Material & Fabrication
The primary sign uses LED neon flex tubing in custom colors (pink and cyan), mounted on a clear acrylic backing with aluminum standoffs. The LED neon provides the authentic neon look with lower heat output, greater durability, and programmable color options. The RGB lighting strips are professionally installed with diffuser channels for even light distribution, controlled via smart home integration for seamless mode switching between gaming, streaming, and relaxation.
The wall panels use acoustic foam in geometric tile patterns, with select panels painted in accent colors to reinforce the color scheme. All electrical work follows residential safety standards with low-voltage LED drivers.
Installation Results
The completed e-sports room creates an immersive gaming environment that enhances both the player’s experience and the streaming visual quality. The custom neon sign has become a signature visual element on streams, helping build the gamer’s personal brand.
