Luxury Watch & Accessories Boutique

Beverly Hills, CA

Horologium Fine Watches, located on a prime stretch of Beverly Hills’ shopping district, needed a storefront sign that could compete with neighboring luxury brands while conveying their heritage in fine watchmaking. The existing signage was outdated and failed to attract the caliber of clientele the business deserved.

Project Background

Horologium Fine Watches occupies a premium retail space on Beverly Boulevard, surrounded by high-end jewelry stores and designer boutiques. The owners approached us with a clear brief: the signage needed to communicate exclusivity and craftsmanship before a customer ever stepped through the door. They wanted a design that would stand out during both daytime browsing and evening window shopping.

Design Concept & Branding

We selected a refined serif typeface for the dimensional channel letters to echo the classic typography found on luxury watch dials. The brushed brass finish was chosen for its warm, reflective quality that catches natural light during the day, while integrated LED backlighting ensures the letters remain visible and striking after dark. The 48-by-8-inch letters are mounted on a marble facade with a subtle offset that creates depth and shadow interest.

The illuminated window display extends the branding into the storefront itself, featuring backlit panels that showcase featured timepieces. This creates a cohesive visual story from the street signage through to the in-store experience.

Material Selection & Fabrication

Each channel letter was precision-fabricated from brushed brass with a clear protective coating to maintain its finish against sun exposure and coastal air. The LED modules are warm-white (3000K) to complement the brass tones rather than wash them out. Tempered glass panels were custom-cut for the window display, with UV-resistant interlayers to protect the merchandise from fading.

The mounting system uses discreet threaded studs that allow the letters to float 1.5 inches from the facade, creating a clean shadow line that enhances readability from a distance.

Installation Process

Installation was completed over two days with careful coordination to minimize disruption to retail operations. The first day involved facade preparation and wiring, while the second day focused on letter mounting and calibration of the LED backlighting system. A dedicated dimmer control allows the client to adjust brightness levels from dusk to late evening.

Results & Impact

Since the new signage was installed, Horologium Fine Watches has reported a noticeable increase in foot traffic, with several new customers mentioning the signage as the reason they stopped in. The illuminated letters have become a recognizable landmark on the block during evening hours. As the owner noted, the sign gives the store a permanent sense of being open and inviting, even during after-hours window shopping.
