- UV guarantee: Request a minimum 3-year UV-fade warranty

- Check manufacturer portfolio — Look at signs they installed 3+ years ago. Are they holding up?
What About the Warranty?
A 2-year warranty on an exterior sign is the bare minimum. Quality sign companies offer:
- 5-7 year warranty on cast vinyl against fading, cracking, or peeling
- 3-5 year warranty on LED illumination
- Lifetime structural warranty on aluminum channel letter frames
If your sign company only offers 2 years, that’s a red flag they expect premature failure.
